Shiv Prakash Yadav
AdvisorDr. Shiv Prakash Yadav is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of German language at Amity University, Noida, since January 31, 2024. His primary areas of research include Memory Studies and Comparative Literature, with a particular focus on Memorial Literature, Partition Literature, and Displacement Literature. His research engages with post-war German literature as well as post-independence Hindi literature, exploring the intersections between historical memory, trauma, and literary expression.
Dr. Yadav completed his B.A. (Hons.) in German from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. He pursued his M.A. and subsequent academic studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. During his M.Phil., he was a guest research scholar at the University of Wuppertal, Germany, for a period of three months. For his Ph.D., he was awarded a prestigious research scholarship for two and a half years at the University of Freiburg, Germany.
In addition to his doctoral work, Dr. Yadav was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Albert-Ludwigs- University, Freiburg, Germany, from July to September 2024. He has accumulated extensive teaching experience, spanning over eight to nine years, which includes both part-time and full- time appointments at various institutions. Dr. Yadav has taught courses on German language, literature, history, and culture at Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Delhi, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, Ashoka University, and Aligarh Muslim University at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
